W zeszły weekend w naszej miejscowości odbył się festiwal, który jest organizowany co roku o tej samej porze. Jest to niewątpliwie najbardziej wyczekiwane wydarzenie. Festiwal ten odbył się po raz pierwszy w 1985. I od tamtej pory ma miejsce zawsze w ostatni tydzień września tak aby  pokrywał się z Światowym Dniem Turystyki.

Jak co roku miało to miejsce w samym sercu Ayia Napy obok zabytkowego klasztoru. Jest tu organizowanych wiele imprez i odwiedzający mają możliwość poznania tradycji i zwyczajów miejscowej ludności, muzycznych tradycji i sztuki ludowej, a szczególnie mogą  skorzystać z cypryjskiej gościnności .

Nie mogło nas tam zabraknąć. Szczególnie, że na licznych stoiskach można było podziwiać różne przepiekne ręcznie robione akcesoria, biżuterię a nawet buty.

Ayia Napa Festival

It is, undoubtedly, the most popular and most anticipated event that takes place in the tourist resort of Agia Napa. The festival took place in September 1985 and has since been established as an annual event. It is always the last week of September, in order to coincide with the World Tourism Day. It is held at the Square of Agia Napa and around the historical monastery.

We could not miss it. We had a chance to see all those beautiful hand made accessories, gadgets and even shoes.
